This is a lovely table....well made...securely packed....came 6 days earlier than promised and perfect...no flaws! It is sturdy and exactly what I was looking for. It sits at the end of a loveseat and is exposed on three sides...pretty from every angle. It is the "Brown" color and as others have said, it is a little darker than it appears in the online photos, which is also what I was hoping it would be. The "Almost Black" color would have been too dark. The inlaid design in the top is very nice and matches well with a wood entertainment wall that has burled wood. Happy, satisfied customer!!As other reviewers have pointed out, the color of this table is NOT as pictured. However, since I went to an Ashley Furniture Store and looked at one before ordering on Amazon, I was not surprised. In person it is darker and the brown trim has a distinct orange tint to it, but it does look nice with my other medium and dark oak furniture. I ordered two tables at the same time and each came on a different day from a different Amazon location. I was sad to see that the first one had some minor damage to the top front corner where the brown trim was scraped back to black. But I decided to touch it up with some paint and put that side to the inside so it doesn't show--much easier than returning. Upon unpacking at first glance you may wonder who in the world would put strange black felt pen marks on the table? However, upon further inspection you will realize that this is someone's attempt at the "distressed look." Once it is assembled and in place you will hardly notice this. Also, as you are assembling it you may realize that the legs and feet are not all stained to the same darkness, so do your best to match them up front and back. Again, once assembled and in your room this probably won't bug you. It is very easy to assemble, but if you've unpacked the pieces and are wondering where that little insert is for inside of the drawer, the instructions don't tell you where it is hidden. If you turn the tabletop upside down as first instructed, you then need to slide the drawer open and you will discover that little insert strapped to the underside of the tabletop. By the way, the price on Amazon was better than in the Ashley store and the shipping was faster, too. Although not perfect, overall this is a nice little table and fit well for my use. What more can you expect from a made-in-Vietnam piece of furniture?We purchased 2 of these end tables for our living room over 3 and a half years ago and they are still in excellent shape! The small size is perfect for those tight spaces that just need something for drinks, Not really big enough for a lamp tho. Would 100% recommend these. The color is fantastic too!I was looking for something to go between 3 living room chairs so everyone had their own. Look great for the money and we are well pleased. We ended up ordering 4 altogether. Someone mentioned they could not find the serial number on the table. We found them in several places - some were inside the drawer on the bottom and some were inside the drawer on the top so when put together would be hard to find. one was underneath the table. All had numbers on them. Just what we needed to complete our Mission Style living room.Ordered 3 of these after seeing them in person at the Ashley store. Solid wood (rubber wood from the region of China - Oak & Maple don't grow there) Color is almost black. Heavy. piece. Pre assembled with the exception of the legs, 6 bolts and yo're done. Well packaged. Photo 2 shows screws that must be removed before assembly. Screws protect table during shipping. The rating would be 5 stars if one of the tables didn't have an issue with the drawer. The support under the front of the drawer was too high for the draw to close. EZ fix, remove 2 screws and reposition. .Other than that I'm happy with them. The drawer has a removable piece of wood that sits on top for holding glasses so the table doesn't get water marks. Nice feature.We have bought Ashley furniture before and feel that the quality seems higher than other brands in the same price point.We bought 2 for our living room. The size was perfectly suited to our collection of furniture.The back of the table is also finished which was important for us as we have placed them in the center of a large room.One of the tables arrived with a scratch on the inside of a leg. It wasn't an issue for us as it was not visible once assembled.I really like the drawer insert that allows you to rest a beverage on to the open drawer without spilling it or leaving water rings in the wood finish or using a coasterThe first order we made for the end table came quickly within the time frame stated. The second one however got lost somewhere at the Eagan, Minnesota location. After waiting any days after the table was to be delivered I requested a reorder which was noted would be expedited. However, when I place the order it said the delivery date was a lot longer. I called and spoke to a representative and she then to her supervisor and neither could do anything about the delivery date but the did offer a credit against the purchase. While disappointed I had to wait longer to have the set I did appreciated the consideration your representative gave to finding the best solution they could to the situation. We know have both end tables and we love them. You may wonder why didn't I order both at once. Well l need a end table near my recliner in our family room and my husband didn't want one because he had one. But when he saw mine he wanted one too. ThanksAshley usually makes a fairly good product compared to most of the competition. This should have been a 5 star review except for the fact the front drawer face was not glued together properly. The many thin layers just came apart right out of the box. Luckily I had the resources & equipment to remedy the mistake. If I hadn't, I would have sent it back.
